Contact Crypto Illinois
Corrections, factual updates, press enquiries and partnership questions all go to one address. If you are looking for help after a fraud, the section below tells you exactly where to go instead — and it is not us.
Our featured on-ramp is CEX.IO CORP — a FinCEN-registered money services business holding an Illinois money transmitter licence (MT.0000359), NMLS ID 1804170. See how we rank exchanges.

One address, and what to put in the subject line
Everything reaches us at contact@crypto-illinois.com. We read everything and reply to most things. Putting one of the following at the start of the subject line gets it to the right place faster.
What we can help with
- Explaining what a statute says and where to read it yourself.
- Pointing you at the right public register to verify a provider's licensing.
- Telling you which route is cheapest for a given situation, and why.
- Explaining the kiosk refund process and its deadlines.
- Correcting something on this site.
What we cannot help with
- Recovering lost or stolen crypto. Nobody can. See below.
- Investment advice. What to buy, how much, or when.
- Legal or tax advice for your specific circumstances.
- Account problems with an exchange or kiosk operator. We have no relationship with them and no ability to intervene. Contact the provider's own support and compliance functions.
- Transactions. We never hold, transmit or have access to anyone's money or assets, and we will never ask you for a payment, a wallet address, a private key or a recovery phrase.
We will never contact you first
If someone approaches you claiming to represent Crypto Illinois — offering recovery services, an investment opportunity, account help, or asking for payment or wallet details — it is not us. We do not make outbound contact of any kind. Treat any such approach as fraud.
Before you email
Can you help me recover crypto I lost to a scam?
No, and neither can anyone who contacts you offering to. Blockchain transactions are final. The Office of the Illinois Attorney General has issued specific warnings about crypto scam "recovery services" that demand advance fees and deliver nothing. Report to your local police, the FBI’s IC3 at ic3.gov, and — if a kiosk was involved — the operator within 30 days, because Illinois gives new customers a statutory refund right.
Will you recommend a specific investment?
No. We are not an investment adviser and we do not give financial advice. We publish factual information about how providers, statutes and markets work in Illinois. What you buy, how much and when are decisions for you and, for anything material, a qualified professional.
How do I report an incorrect figure on the site?
Email contact@crypto-illinois.com with the page URL and, if you have it, a link to the current source. We check corrections against primary material and update the page. We would rather be corrected than be confidently wrong.
